Tajami › Getting paid
The payment pageThe link carries the actual items.
Not a bare amount with a reference she has to remember. The dress, the size, the quantity, what delivery costs and what it comes to — on the page, in front of her, before she pays anything. She checks it in four seconds instead of scrolling back through the conversation to see what she agreed to.
What you are paying for
Held for you — 3:58:12
How would you like to pay?
Adunni is told the moment it goes through, and you get a receipt here. You do not have to send her a screenshot.
Adunni Styles is who you are paying.
Payments taken and settled by a licensed partner. Tajami never holds your money.
A bare amount is a question she has to answer from memory.
Most payment links in this trade are a figure and a reference. She gets ₦25,000 with nothing attached, tries to remember whether that included delivery, and either messages you to check — which is the work you were trying to remove — or does not pay.
Name, variant, quantity and unit price for each item, and delivery on its own line rather than folded into the goods. If she queries anything, she queries one line instead of the whole total.
The link belongs to that cart and that thread, so the payment closes the right order. You are not matching amounts to people by hand at the end of the day.
A Nigerian bank transfer needs a Nigerian bank, and a foreign card often will not go through at all — so the aunt in Houston who actually pays for the dress is the one customer your checkout normally loses. She pays from a wallet or an exchange she already uses, and it settles to your account in naira like everything else. The rail is Nomapay’s; you never see it, and neither does she.
The person who asks is routinely not the person who pays — a husband, a sister, an aunt abroad. The link still works on the second and third forward, because a link that dies there loses the sale for a reason that has nothing to do with wanting it.
When she says she will take it, the item is reserved for a window you set. She can see the time running, and when it lapses she is told inside the window that it is no longer held — rather than finding out when she turns up.
Pending is not paid, and paid is not settled.
Three different things that most tools show as one green tick. You are the one who hands over goods on the strength of it, so you get told which is which.
Pending
She has opened the link and started. Nothing has moved. The item is still held, and nothing has been taken from her.
✓ Paid
The money has left her. It is confirmed in the chat so you are not opening a banking app at the counter with a customer standing there.
✓✓ Settled
It is in your account. Stock only moves here — never on a reservation and never on a promise — because that is the only point at which the sale is real.
✕ Failed, or reversed
With the reason, in words. If a payment is pulled back you hear it from us before your bank tells you, because the alternative is finding out a week later from a statement.
An oversell is told to you first. If the same item sells in the shop and in a DM at the same time, you are told before the customer is, and an apology with alternatives is drafted for you to send. You should never learn about it by reading the message your customer already got.
Your phone and her link are the same thing.
You raise it on your phone. She opens the link. The moment she pays, your phone says so — not because two systems were kept in step, but because there is only one order and two ways of looking at it. Nobody sends a screenshot and nobody opens a banking app to check.
Paid in full — ₦25,000. Stock moved on settlement, not on the promise.
What you are paying for
She never made an account, and never installed anything.
To your account. Never through ours.
Payments are taken and settled by a licensed partner under their own permissions. Tajami is the software around the sale, not a place your money stops on the way to you — and that is a structural fact about how it is built, not a promise about how we will behave.
