Terms & conditions

The agreement, without the small print trap.

What you can expect from Tajami, what we expect from you, how billing works, and what happens if something goes wrong.

Last updated 25 September 2026Applies to tajami.com and the Tajami service

In short

  • Tajami works only on business accounts you connect, and only replies to people who messaged you first.
  • It answers facts. Complaints always reach you, and so do negotiations unless you have set rules for it to negotiate within. You stay responsible for your catalogue and what you sell.
  • Pay as you go from prepaid credit that never expires. No subscription.
  • Payments are handled by licensed partners — Tajami never holds your money.
  • You own your data and can leave, and export it, at any time.

This summary helps you read the document; it does not replace it. If the two ever differ, the full text below applies.

01About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Tajami when you use tajami.com or the Tajami service (“the service”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you use Tajami for a business, you confirm you have authority to agree for that business.

Our Privacy policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these terms.

02The service

Tajami answers factual questions in your business inbox from your catalogue, negotiates only within limits you set, sends complaints, anything uncertain and any negotiation outside your limits to you, and creates payment links processed by licensed partners. Where you connect a delivery partner, Tajami books and tracks deliveries on your own account with them; delivery is carried out by that partner under its own terms, and Tajami is not a courier.

Tajami is in development and being offered to early sellers first. Features described on this website may not all be available yet, may change, and some are marked as planned. We will tell you when something you rely on changes.

03Your account

  • You must be 18 or over and running a genuine business.
  • Keep your details accurate and your login secure. You are responsible for what happens in your account, including actions by staff you add.
  • Tell us promptly at hello@tajami.com if you think your account has been misused.

04Connecting your business accounts

  • Tajami works only on business accounts you connect through each platform’s own permission screen. Personal accounts cannot be connected.
  • You must follow the terms of every platform you connect, including the messaging rules of WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and Telegram. We may block any automated message that would break them.
  • Tajami only replies to people who messaged you first, and only within the window the platform allows. It will not send cold messages, bulk messages to people who have not written, or messages outside those windows.
  • You can disconnect at any time from Tajami or from the platform, and access stops immediately.

05What the agent answers, and your responsibility

  • Tajami answers only checkable facts from your catalogue. Complaints and anything it is not sure of are sent to you. Negotiations are too, unless you have switched negotiation on and set its limits; it never goes below the lowest price you set, and you are responsible for the limits you choose. It never answers a question about what a product treats, cures, prevents or is safe for; those always reach you, and no setting changes this. Any health claim you make about what you sell is yours, and must meet the rules that apply to it. The same applies to questions about what a product does to someone’s skin or hair. Prescription medicines cannot be sold through Tajami, and it does not make ads for sexual-enhancement, weight-loss, alcohol, tobacco or vape products.
  • It starts in drafts only. You choose, per category, when it may send answers by itself, and you can switch back at any time.
  • You are responsible for your catalogue — prices, stock, descriptions and delivery details — and for the goods and services you sell. Tajami answers from what you have confirmed.
  • If an automated answer is wrong, correct it from the feed; the correction goes to the customer and updates your catalogue. We do not charge for escalations the agent got wrong.

06Pricing, credit and billing

  • Tajami is pay as you go, charged according to the rate card in force at the time: conversations beyond the monthly free allowance, a commission on payments collected through Tajami, and any extras you switch on.
  • You pay by topping up prepaid credit. Credit never expires. Auto top-up is off unless you turn it on, with a cap you set.
  • Payment commission is taken at source by the payment partner and never touches your credit. It is not charged on refunded or reversed payments.
  • At zero credit, automatic sending pauses and answers become drafts. Checkout and escalations keep working.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice. Changes never apply to usage that has already happened.
  • Unused credit is refundable when you close your account, less any amounts you owe.

07Payments are handled by licensed partners

Tajami is software. It is not a bank and not a payment service provider, and it never holds your or your customers’ money. Payments are taken and settled to your own account by licensed partners under their own permissions and terms, which you may need to accept, including their identity and business verification.

Settlement times, reversals and chargebacks are governed by the partner’s terms. We tell you as soon as we are notified of a reversal.

08Your content and data

You own your catalogue, your messages and your business data. You give Tajami permission to use them only to provide and improve the service for you, as described in the Privacy policy.

For your customers’ personal data, you are the controller and we process it on your behalf. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to use it and for honouring your customers’ requests; we will help you do so.

You can export your data at any time.

09Acceptable use

You must not use Tajami to:

  • Sell anything illegal, counterfeit, or prohibited by the platforms or our payment partners.
  • Send spam, cold outreach or messages to people who have not contacted you.
  • Mislead customers, including impersonating another business or generating messages that pretend to be a person who did not write them.
  • Harass, defraud or discriminate against anyone.
  • Break, probe, overload, reverse-engineer or scrape the service, or get around its limits.
  • Resell the service without our written agreement.

10Our intellectual property

The service, the software, our name, logo and website belong to Tajami or our licensors. These terms give you a right to use the service, not ownership of it. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.

11Availability and changes

We work to keep Tajami available and accurate, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, especially while it is in development. We may change or stop features; where a change materially reduces what you rely on, we will give reasonable notice.

12Suspension and ending

  • You can close your account at any time from settings or by emailing us.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the platforms’ rules, puts other people at risk, or is required by law. Where we can, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to fix it.
  • When an account closes, automatic answering stops, your connected accounts are disconnected and your data is handled as the Privacy policy describes.

13Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits, lost sales or lost data, or for losses caused by the platforms, payment partners, or information you provided.

Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid Tajami in the 3 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

14Indemnity

If a claim is brought against Tajami because of the goods you sell, your catalogue, or your breach of these terms or the law, you agree to cover the reasonable losses and costs that result.

15Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If we have a disagreement, we will first try to resolve it with you directly — write to hello@tajami.com. If that does not work within 30 days, the courts of Lagos State will have jurisdiction, unless the law where you are gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

16Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and for material changes tell sellers by email or in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
